13 Jun Video Update Of Hampton Pointe, Lot 13 In Homearama
Jason: Good morning, everybody. Welcome back to Hampton Pointe, this is our house number 13. Lucky number 13 for the Homearama house this year in Norton Commons. The show is going to open in mid-July, which is just right around the corner. We’ve made a lot of progress on the exterior of this house, as well as the interior, since our last video, and today we’re going to share with you, the exterior side.
As you can see, it’s come a long way. Most of the greenboard is now covered up, and that shingle-style exterior has really taken shape. We’ve got the trellis taking shape on the front of it, and really pleased with how it’s working out. Sometimes when you draw up a plan, you’re never sure how it’s going to turn out, but it usually always exceeds my expectations. Happy with how this one’s turning out.
One of the other things that we’ve talked quite a bit about, has been this copper turret that is really the highlight of this house and the Homearama site. Right as you round the corner, you see this thing blinging at you, and it’s now complete, with, gosh, there’s a lot of pieces. We may have a little raffle at the Homearama, to see how many people can guess the right amount of diamonds we’ve used, to create this masterpiece. We’ve capped it with an actual cupola, that has about a six-foot tall spire on top. The exterior is really cool. I’m excited for folks that have been following along the way, to see it.
What Homearama house is not complete without a swimming pool? With our Hampton Pointe house, we’ve got a great little pool going in the side yard. People may wonder, “Gosh, I didn’t know you could have a pool in Norton Commons.” This is a great way for you to see it.
We’ve got a little tanning ledge in there. There’s a little bench, and one of the coolest features is the highlight of the pool. We’re going to have a water meets fire feature that is the highlight of this swimming pool. Hope everybody can come out and see us, and when we think about the raffle, I may give you podcast listeners a hint. If you see me out there, the number of diamonds will be at least four.
